It seems I've been on a blogging hiatus lately. I've been on Thanksgiving break for the past week, spending lots of time getting ready for X-Mas (25 days!!) & enjoying my family & friends. I promise this week you'll be seeing much, much more of me!

Target, stop tempting me!

Just read the newest issue of Marie Claire, loved it #1 because Blake Lively was on the cover looking gorgeooous, but #2 because they did a write-up about Rodarte for Target, which is said to hit stores December 20th. Seriously, Target keeps on amazing me with their designers.... screw paying $2,000 for a Rodarte cardigan when I can snag a pretty one for (much!) less at my local Target. The designer-mega store duo have been keeping it all very hush-hush, only a few pictures have been available for preview. I don't know about you all, but I might need to buy myself a holiday treat in the form of a party dress on the 20th. Just saying :)

I Dream in Lace

Pulled out these cropped Juicy trousers from the bottom of my closet & have fallen in love all over again.  Maybe it's the pink lining that makes me so happy. This fall weather is amazing, just chilly enough for sleeves but no coat required (yet).

I had a reader email me & ask what I usually use for my day makeup, so here goes!

Eyes: Smashbox Smudge Pot in black with a Sephora Slanted Eyeliner brush to draw on a winged, 50's-60's style line on the top lid. L'Oreal Gold Dust Pearle shadow + Urban Decay in Marshmallow powder to highlight under the arch of my brow & the inner corners of my eyes. 2 coats of Bare Escuentals Buxom Mascara in black & an eyelash curler for the finishing touch to my lashes. 

Brows: Lorac Brow Kit in Blond to fill in the brows.

Face: I usually don't use foundation for day, just my moisturizer + a little pinch of NARS bronzer in Casino. 

Cheeks: Cargo Plant Love Blush in Rose applied behind the apples of my cheeks, a tip I learned from a MAC makeup artist who told me that for round face shape like mine, to create definition you should apply blush behind/under the apples for a contour effect.

Lips: Aveda Peppermint Lipstick in Clover

First, I want to thank all of you for your entries! They were each so inspiring & well thought out, I loved them all. That being said, it was extremely difficult for me to pick out a winner.

Rainy Day Polaroid Love

It's Glow Time, Baby!

I've been ultra-inspired lately by gorgeous skin. I love the look of a glowy complexion; I think it's the perfect thing to make you feel happy & chic. With winter approaching many cities in the U.S., including mine, it'll be easy for our skin to take a beating; flakiness, dryness, dullness...désastre! I came across this photo of Olivia Palermo & immediately immersed myself deep in Sephora to find my new weapon of choice to add to my makeup bag.

To get steal her pretty skin, I found a mini palette by Benefit that contains all of the goods to make you look like a goddess this season for a small price.
